I liked the way the fire was dancing from a pit at a ski resort I was visiting. The flames were shooting pretty high and, in the background, buried in the snow was a fire hydrant.

In Wallace, Idaho you will find numerous Victorian style homes. I took this photo during the winter of 2017. I chose black and white as I liked the way the home stood out against the snow-covered trees. At the time, the snow was falling, and you can see this in the photo.

Santa looks totally beat in this photo taken in Wallace, Idaho during the winter of 2017. Rudolf is completely frozen, but his nose still shows red.

The Nevada State Capitol decorates every year for the holiday season. This shot was taken looking down the street in front of the Capitol building. The lights of passing vehicles make for a nice addition to the background lighting.

I took this photo in the winter of 2017 in historic downtown Wallace, Idaho as the snow fell. I really like the colors of the buildings mixed with the snow. The trees and mountains in the background give you a sense of calm. The car on the road is a Shoshone County Sheriff’s unit. Can you imagine getting to patrol and work in such a beautiful area?
